Default Hey guys need your help with CCW wheel/tire size! About to place the order :)

Hey guys. I am going to place an order for some 505A CCW wheels for my 2002 trans am. What size do you guys recommend? CCW recommended 18x10 for the front and 18X11 for the rear. That size really wide to me for the front? I was thinking 9 or 9.5 wide for the front. Also was going to put a 315 nitto NT05R on the rear but they said it will require ALOT of massaging. Is that true? Or should i go with a size smaller tire in the rear to be safe.

Right I realize that, I was wondering the diameter or overall height with the tire on the wheel

Yeah that's a pretty beefy sidewall on a 18x11 wheel. Even with a 17x11 wheel and a 315/35/17 NT05R I get a little rubbing occasionally on a hard turn, and that's with a adjustable panhard bar a little BFH to the inner fender well

Are you dead set on the 505a's? I had them (19x10 and 20x11) and they were nice, but I know you're planning on a Procharged setup, so was curious why you want to go the 18" route. Not sure if you've looked at the LM series of CCW wheels, or the "D" series wheels. I really like the D240's. They come in 17" and 18".

I haven't looked into those yet. I will check them out . When I got to the strip I'll throw my 15x10 weld rts wheel in probably. These will be my nice street/show wheels

Yeah, the more I thought about it, I figured you had a drag setup to throw on at the track. In that case, go for the 505a's. I loved mine.

Another member on here just put on 18x11 forgestars on his car. That's on all 4 corners. I'm almost sure he also has R888's in 315 all around too, so you should be fine.

Different wheels, but I run 18x9.5 in the front with a 265/35/18 and an 18x11 rear with a 315/30/18. Fully adjustable suspension of course, but only required minor massaging. You do it once and never look back. My fenders are not rolled and the car doesn't rub at all.

If you have welds for the track, why do you want such a tall sidewall?

Could spend some time with a polishing ball and clear coat compound. It would be easier to just have them
re sprayed or coated

Going to order CCWs myself soon. Confirmed with CCW to go with 18X9.5 & 18X11. 315s in the rear.

I'm running 19x10 and 19x11 275/35 and 305/30
I sometimes want to go back to 18s just to have a little more tire but I haven't really had any problems with the 19s, get ready to polish your life away lol
