Default Wheels/Rims

So I've been looking around trying to decide the look that I'd like to go for with my 02 Z/28. It's my DD, and every so often I make the trip from California to Washington and back. Not knowing much about tire sizing in general, I'd like to hear any suggestions on what I should do to make my tires and wheels look like the pictures below? I want that aggressive/muscle look while maintaining practicality (taking into consideration the rain that we get in Washington). Is it recommended to offset the sizing between the front and rear so the rear is slightly larger? As in, wider and taller? And if so would that affect the rim size as well? Any help or to be pointed in the right direction would be appreciated!

If its a DD and you will be driving in rain then the bottom picture is out of the question as that car is running slicks/skinnies and would be totally impractical.
Now the look will all depend on what kind of budget you have to get wheels, tires and possibly suspension mods.
One cheap way is buying knock off C4 ZR1 wheels from oewheels that are 17x9.5 front, 17x11 rear and run 275/40 front and 315/35 rear tires. Rear will be basically flush with the fender (and get rid of that hideous tucked in look) but you will need an adjustable panhard bar and a little bit of hammering on the inner wheel wells. When fitting a wider wheel/tire on the rear you will also have to jack the rear up by the middle of the axle so the wheels don't get hung up on the bump stops.

Im running these wheels as well and they are a great bargain.

There are a ton of other options out there as well for wide aggressive wheels but most are pretty pricey. Look at CCW, Fikse, Forgestar, HRE, torque thrust, and BMW wheels will actually fit our cars too.

I tend to be "overly practical" when it comes to a DD, especially one that I know I'll be doing some travelling with. So, in that respect, I'd consider a tire that isn't in some rare, hard to get size, in case you have an issue while "on the road", and need a replacement in a hurry.

For DD'ing the car, get some wheels from OEWheelsLLC then buy what you actually want for driving around your area and so you aren't F-ing up pricey wheels on long trips if you have that as a choice.

I have indeed been looking at their website, and I have an idea already of what I want. I still get confused (even after looking at FAQS in wheel sizing) about offsets, staggering, and imagining how these will affect the look of the vehicle. I don't want my wheels to stick out, but at the same time I like the wheels that sit flush and sort of squared off with the outside of the vehicle, not tucked underneath and hiding. If you can understand from what i just described. Im liking the pictures posted above, though. How big is practical in back for looking tough but still maintaining streetability? Do you normally run a size larger in back, and could I maybe see some examples (in writing is fine) of people's setups with sizes and stuff?

This is mine. Could easily do this minus the drag radials.

Thanks I appreciate it. They are 17 x 8 in front and 17 x 11 in rear with the typical f body offset, I don't remember I called Weld and told them what I was doing and they sent me what I needed.
