Ceramic coating rims

I no people arengetting there cars done but i was wondering has anyone tried doing rims. I have a set of ws6 rims and the clear is peeling so i plan to strip them and putneither a clear cost on them a clear pieder coat or looking into ceramic coatin

I coated my Forgestars with Kamikaze Stance coating and plan to do the same to my daily driver wheels before winter. I screwed up and used way too much but it was my first time ever doing it. Went great and at least the coating I used is no harder to use than your run of the mill wax.

I would highly suggest getting the wheels clear coated and then ceramic coat them before you drive on them that way they are completely clean before you start. There is upkeep after you coat wheels with specific types of products but it’s much easier to keep up with.

Ceramic coating is not a durable coating, especially on wheels.

They have coatings specifically formulated for wheels and brake calipers now that are designed to hold up to the high heats. Some of the detailing oriented track guys use them with great success.

I have my wheels coated and would not go back to a wax or sealant on them. Coatings just last longer.
