Default New Member - camaro rim & tire question

New memeber here with 99 Camaro SS
looking to purchase the below set of rims:

Staggered 18x8.5 46mm & 19x10 65mm

Will these fit ? Best tire size combo?

Any other issues/concerns I should be looking at?

They will fit, but the rear will need some clearance (smashing) inboard. Tire combo depends on what you want... all season, cheap, summer tire. Michelin PSS come in a ton of sizes and are great all around tires.

Will it need hammering even with a spacer?

With the proper spacer in the rear, no they will fit fine.

Every car has a bit different clearance. I don't exactly know, someone else chiming in would be handy. To put it back to stock clearance you need 20mm spacer. You can mess with this calculator to visualize. willtheyfit.com

pretty sure those are factory corvette specs, so yes fronts should fit fine and rears will need a spacer. FWIW, I personally wouldn't ever put anything smaller than a 9" wide wheel on the front of these cars (unless it is a drag setup), since that is what some of them came with from the factory

As mentioned above, spacer in rear which is also helping fill up the well by pushing out and everything is perfectly fine. Just make sure you don't skimp on the quality/brand of spacer which should be hub centric*

The 19x10 will fit the rear wheel well fine. I’d suggest on a 35 profile tire for clearance issues. The ride will suck compared to 40, but you’ll have less rubbing.

Don't want to hijack the tread but will these rims fit a stock Z28. If so what tires are recommended? Good all around sport tires for daily driver with grip and cornering.
18x9.5
5x120.65
+56 offset

Yes they will fit and I’d recommend 275/35/18 tires. Either Bridgestone or Goodyear.
