Too much tire?

Too much tire? I put on some et streets last night, and my et went up .1. My thinking was that my stock car had too much tire on it to push it well. My 60' time went down from 2.3 to 2.0, however 
For a stock car, yes, et streets are a tad overkill, but spend a couple grand on some engine parts and then they will seem like enough. But you will probably destroy the 10 bolt at the same time
I would do some other mods first to compliment those ET streets. Free mods if you haven't done any yet, some exhaust mods as well. Not sure where you wanna be regarding bolt ons. Good luck with it.

Too much tire for a stock clutch/rear? Yes. Too much tire? Probably not unless they are like 27 or 28".
I'd throw a 12 bolt with 4.10's and a nice grabby clutch.. drop it from 4k.. 5k.. just whichever works best.
If your going to be running on the stock rear, BFG Drag Radials are as hard as I'd want to hook.

that doesnt make sense though. if you already had a 3 tenth advantage on the sixty foot you should drop et of around 4.5 to 5tenths in the quarter mile. are the two et's you are comparing from the same night? if anything the tire slowing the car up should show on the sixty foot, not the big end. you will lose a little MPH from the car not spinning though.

Verdad Gallardo i agree. i would think if its bogging, his sixty foot should be worse, not 3 tenths better. thats why i thought it could be weather on a different day or the car being hotter, something along that line.
