Default Eastwood Fender Roller for rent.

Not sure if this is really the correct forum for this, but since the topic originally arose here I thought I'd start back here again.

A couple of months ago I had inquired about experiences with the Eastwood fender roller. At that time I received a bunch of comments/questions with regard to renting it out. I wasn't really planning on renting it out at the time since I figured it would be a hassle and I didn't want it damaged/stolen. Plus I didn't know what sort of quality I was going to see from the roller. Well, as it turns out the roller worked so well for me I couldn't have been more pleased. Now its just sitting in my garage - of no use to anybody. I figured I'd go ahead and offer it for rent if anyone's interested since I probably won't be using it again anytime soon.

If you're interested please send me a PM or an email. Just be aware that it'll be first come, first serve and I only have one, so if there is more interest it might require a waiting list. I plan on renting it out on a weekly basis. Again, contact me if you're interested or want pricing information.

Thanks,

Joe

Here's a pic of the roller for reference:

Did it roll the inner lip with out flaring the outer quarter? Kinda hard to tell from the pic.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks for the PM's, responses have been sent.

GM Muscle,
That pic was just a mock-up showing how the roller looks and attaches. It was taken prior to actually doing the rolling. There was no flaring of the outside fender whatsoever. I was concerned about that very thing before I started so I took the first fender really slow. The lip seems quite strong, but honestly the roller makes short work of it. I was impressed. I was able to bang out the other side in about 10 minutes. I wouldn't even consider anything else after using this tool.

Here are a couple of before/after pics that may show the fender more clearly. I apologize for the picture quality. Unfortunately I'm not yet part of the digital camera age.

Here's before:

And here's after:

For reference, these ^^ are 10.5" wheels with an effective 48mm offset (53mm + 5mm spacer) and 295/35/18 Michelins. I'm lowered about 1-1/2" with Hypercoils.

I'm running the same springs with 315s. My passanger side tire will rub on a hard launch so I need to roll the lips. My buddy owns a tire shop and I'm going to check to see if he has a roller, if not I'll deffinatly shoot you a PM about renting yours.

BTW: Pic quality looks pretty good to me.

those rims/tires look nice, i think that's about the perfect amount of sidewall for a tire to have on these cars....and the fender roller did a good job as well

Thanks, Barry. Glad to hear it worked well.

ZEEMAN,

At stock ride height I wouldn't worry about rolling. Whether you need the BFH depends on your offset with the 18x10.5's. If you have a less aggressive offset (like 56-58mm) then you may have to do some BFH. If, however, you have a 53mm offset or smaller, you'll be fine.

I have the same setup. You only need the BFH to make them not rub.
