Default Stupid Firestone Guy

So I had to have my tires remounted and balanced because they screwed up the last time doing it. Anyways, the guy snapped one of my lugs off with the wheel stud in there, so now ive only got 4. Where can I get some new ones?! and can I put them in? or do they have to be pressed, any help is appreciated

You can do it, you'll need a scrificial lug nut, and an impact gun.

He was the attendent person, not the mechanic. Plus when he made this remark a few days later I proved his theory wrong. He was probably a ricer, cause he went on to say most cars don't go past 120, even after I tried to explain to him the monster under the hood and the legandary Camaro, he still belived my car wouldn't hit past 120. The fastest I've gone before I had to brake was 152mph - I have yet to hit max mph. I belive 98 Camaros max out at 158mph, I may be wrong though.

Thats is one reason why I don't deal with them. Sorry for your misfortune I would have them pay for the new studs!

if he broke it taking it off it isnt his fault. it was cross threaded putting it on. There is no way to incorrectly take off a lug nut. it has to be FCKed up before to cause any problems. Now if he crossed threaded it putting it on and the broke it now thats his fault. THEY should have to replace it if they broke it.

yeah just remove caliper, rotor, and bracket. use a big hammer to pound out the old stud. get a stud puller or a junky lug nut with a big washer on it and set the impact gun to high and go till it bottoms the back of the stud to the hub. reassembly and you are ready to go. think the stud is 12x1.50. i think!? any help here?

Is it the front tire lug nut or rear? The front can be pounded out and then in, the rear needs the axles to be removed.

No they don't . . it is possible to change them w/o removing the axles . . .

is there some reason you dont just have them fix the damage? I've taken my car(s) to firestone for years and years and they have always gone out of thier way for me, taking me in right away when I show up, not insisting to drive my car (they always let me pull it in and out) haning out with the mechanic when work is being done, hell I wont go anywhere else.

I've found them to be a very good company who's willing to work with the customer, maybe you can call firestone directly? maybe they'll straighten this shop out for you...
