Default You guys think I should trade in my black z06 replicas for a set of real z06 wheels?

I was thinking of doing this for the weight savings but like the look of the black rims. What do you guys think?

I have a set of 18x9.5 and 18x10 Enkei V1s with really good Bridgestone Potenzas on them that I would like to get rid of if you are interested in working out a trade.

How much of a weight difference is there between your wheels and the real ones?

I say keep the black. I love the black on black look. I assume that is your car in your sig. It looks great the way it is IMO. Got anymore pics? I see it's making some good power too!

Do you have 17x9.5 on the front and 18x10 on the rear? Car is beautiful.

I'd trade for some OEM Z06's. I think it will look great on your car. I bet weight savings would be noticeable at the track too, at least in trap speed. Get it photoshopped first so you can have an idea.

Wow thanks for the props guys, the weight difference is substantial, each one of those black rims weighs 60 lbs with a tire on it

I have weighed z06 rims and with tires they weigh around 45 for the backs and 43 for the fronts with tires. So thats 60 lbs weight difference in all 4 tires.

I guess unfortunatly I went ahead and swapped them out today with the oem z06 rims and it does not look as good but even the handling is alot better which is what really suprised me, Now I need some more races to see how they do

Ill try to get some pics up shortly.

good choice, now just get the oem ones painted black in the center and you'll have the weight savings with the look...

Wow, I never realized the weight would make that much of a difference. Is there any place to get z06 wheels that are as light as the stock ones?

I don't think so but alot of guys sell em off there z06s on the z06 forums, it was funny when I traded mine, On the first rim I rolled him mine and he tried to pick it up and needed help to mount it, This was the black z06 motorsport rim, then he picked up his z06 rim and handed it to me with one hand hehehehe,

I asked him if he was sure he wanted to trade but he wanted the bling and the black motorsport rims do look waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy better than the stock z06 ones.

With everything being equal, lighter wheels will provide a performance boost when compared to heavier wheels. This is a whole bunch of physics stuff going on with wheels spinning and all that can explain this but I don't want to put everybody to sleep.

When upgrading wheels try not to go with heavier wheels because you will feel the difference.

Got any pics with the 17-18 stance?
You think the grey wheels would look crappy on a White WS6?
