Default Widest Spacer w/ Stock Studs?

I would like to buy some wheel spacers for my rear tires. They stick in too far and look kinda stock. I was wondering what is the tickest spacer you can safely run on the stock studs. I was planning on getting 7/16" thick, how does this sound? Also, does anyone know of any companies that specialize in making wheel spacers or where I can get some high quality ones? Thanks!

1/4" I ran a 5/16" but the lugs had VERY little bite . . .

ARP sells 2.5" replacement studs for $12.00 a set. The stock studs are 34 mm, these are 63.5 mm. Gives you another inch of thread for the lugs, so you can use any spacer you want. Also, Eibach sells wheel adapters that bolt to the stock flange, and your wheel bolts to the adapter through a different set of studs. They're over 1" thick, if you want to go that far.

Changing studs on the front is easy, but on the rear they are a PITA. The backing plates have to be removed from the axles to press the studs in place. Some people grind the backing plate so they can gain access to push the studs in, but on a 3-channel ABS (no traction control) it seems next to impossible.

4-channel here....

in the rear all you have to do is remove the ABS sensor and remove each one through that hole. VERY easy on the rear of a TSC car.

Yes they are hardened as is everything ARP makes pretty much. I think they are 190,000psi tensile strength.

Thanks. Is there anything special with the install? As in like not enough room to push them through from the back? Thanks.

No problems at all. I had front and rear changed out in about an hour.
