Default How safe are these spacers?

Well my Z06 wheels could probably stand to come out a little bit and I was thinking about spacers, but I don't feel like replacing all my studs and what not. How well does these work and my main question are they safe?

I'd be really careful about installing those. It looks like the wheel may not sit flush against the plate because the lugnuts may stick out too far. I've got Z06s too, I can't imagine them looking good with spacers on. Do you have bad rubbing problems? Is your rear centered? Have you pounded your fenderwell in?

I don't have any rubbing issues. I just wanted them close to being flush with the fender. I could always get ARP studes and 7/16" spacers, but I was trying to avoid that. As far as the wheels not sitting flush I'm sure if you use an open end style standard nut (like the ones pictured) they would go far enough down into the hole so the wheel could sit flush

Who knows.

They offer them in 1" also. Depending on what you guys thought I was going to inquire about something around 7/16 or so. Come on Xsta this is your specialty. Don't let me down dude.

They are safe, just too damn thick. I run 1/2 spacers on my TA with zo6's and ARP studs because the offset sucks for our cars. No issues here at all and I've driven it across county like it is.

I like those hub-centric spacers better. The weight of the wheel is on the adapter, not the studs. I have a pair of those the front my '69. They work good. I paid like $200 for a pair of 2 1/4" hub-centric adapters from Vette Brakes so I could fit the Z06 wheels on the back. I'd stick with the hub-centric ones if it was me.

I ran a set of hub-centric 2" spacers on my 89. No problems there at all. Even during racing, or high speed runs.

Drag racers use them, import guys use them. I got a buddy who put 4th gen wheels on his third gen. and he needed an adapter that was almost 2 inches thick. You can run any spacer you want. I would recommend getting some ARP studs like I have though. Those things are tough as hell and I have no worries at all. I have more thread with a spacer and arp studs than I did with stock wheels and studs.

I heard that the rear studs were a bitch to put on? Any truth to that? I found it hard to believe since there were rotors in the rear.

As long as you have TCS, just unbolt the wheel speed sensor and pound it out through that hole. If you don't have TCS, you need to pull the axles.
