Help matching sidewall height.....
Right now I have 285/35/18's (9.5" wheel) in the rear and 245/45/17's (8.5" wheel) in the front. Right now, the front sidewall is a lot higher than the rear. It was so noticeable, the wife even said something about it.I want to keep the 285's in the rear, what size on the front will match sidewall height? Thanks!

if that is the case,
get 245/45-17 and 275/40-18
I would think it's dumm to have a 17/18 combo if you care of the sidewall height and not overall diameter... just get same wheel size on all corners.

Come on guys, I see where he's coming from.
Example: Z06 Vette wheel/tire combo is 265-40-17 Front; and 295/35-18 -rear that makes the aspect ratio/profile the same.
You know GM didn't design the Z06 to have different sidewall heights, but in order to accomodate that design, the overall diameter for the rear tire is taller.

Exactly, you can't just compare sidewall profile if you're running different size rims (17 vs. 18). Check out the "does this fit thread" - there's a couple calculators where you can compare tire diameters.
