285/40ZR-17 for my SS?

285/40ZR-17 for my SS? Can anyone tell me if the 285/40ZR-17 will fit my stock 2000 SS? I believe the tire difference is just that it is 10 millimeters wider. I am concerned about any rubbing issues, especially on the fronts. I wanted to put them all the way around. Thanks in advance for your help.

i'm running bridgestone potenzas in that size on the rears but have 275's on the front. no rubbing on the rears. don't know if the front would rub. hope this helps

I have 285's all around and they used to rub a little accelerating hard around turns, but I am pretty low. I would get 'em, shoudn't be a problem at all.

I have the Kumho Ecsta MXs 285/40/17 all around and they work great on my 2000 SS rims. I'm also lowered 2-2 1/2 inches with the Sportlines and no rubbing issues.
