Drag Radial and rim size?
I want to buy a set of seperate rims and drag radials for my 2000 camaro. Do i buy another set of 17 inch rims with 275/40's tires or should i go with a 16 inch rim like SLP is selling with BFG drag radials 255's on them? I hear that the new MT'S are the best now for drag radials, is anybody using them? I would like to be able to just bolt on a set of stock rims for now, not having to change the wheel studs.

If you're going w/ separate wheels, why not run 15s?
M/T only makes one size on a 16" wheel, a 245/50-16. They also make a 17" tire (275/40-17) but they're in short supply.

Hi Guys
I went with the BFG drag radials 315/35x17 because I wanted more rubber hitting the road (12.4"). MT did not offer that size or I would go with MT. I not sure if that was good decision or bad but I hope to find out soon. It appears to work well, less tire spin and more traction. For 15 or 16 tires, the sidewall flex might save the drive train. I don't know if it helps anything else, I just don't know.

I just bought a set of the new Mickey's today they only offer this size in 16" 255\50\16 they will be coming out with the 315\35\17 end of this year or first of next year. I had the BFG's in the 315\35\17 and they worked well but I was thinking because of the compound the new Mickey tires are made of and having more sidewall the 16's might work better than the 315 BFG's? I guess I will soon find out.
