Tire Pressure For M/t Street
I have the M/T STREETS drags on 275 40 17 inch rims with my mods Im still not hooking up in 1st gear car is auto. Im loading the gas at 2500 rpm with my foot on the break waiting for the tree to hit green spining all the way thru 1st. I lowerd the air pressure from 30 to 27 and still the same response need help best time was a 12.9 on the drag but on my radials I ran a 13.1 need help

Wait, so are they the M/T ET Streets? Or the M/T ET Radials? if they are the et streets then 30 psi is WAYY to much for those tires, they like around 15-17 psi and a nice smokey burnout. Never raced on the et radials, but I will soon.

ok, it they have the curved grooves in them, then they are the radials, if they have just 3 straight lines going through the middle/outside of the tire, they are the et streets..

Try about 17psi, and a short 5-8 second burnout. you shouldn't have any problems with traction with your mods. i have et street RADIALS, and have no problem cutting 1.6x times all day with a best of 1.61 -Jim

cool that helps they are the radials stupid me that helps me alot Ive heard from all ends of the spectrum from full pressure to the lowest. I hopfully going to the track next week weather permitting and will try that the best 60 I have had is 1.9 which sucks thanks

just be careful, the lower the psi, the more the rear end gets squirly when you let off the gas. The rear ends tends to sway when you let the weight off the back tires because of the low air in the tires, it will suprise, but DO NOT try to correct, it won't be pretty..
