275/60/15 or 315/60/15 on 15x10"?
i am going to buy 15x10"
and i want to try the MT DRs on ebay
there is 275/60/15
and 315/60/15
which one fits for 15x10?
will either one fit the rear?
i know i have to mod the calipers for the wheels,
but what about the fenderwell for the tires?

MT, on their ET Street webpage, say +/- 1" on the rim size is ok.
10" rim = P315/60R15. Notice that's a 30" tall tire....

I've seen both those on a 10" wheel and they where fine. Do you really need a 28-30" tire for your combo? I'd expect to do alittle cutting and grinding to get them to fit. Here's a pic of my 275/50/15 on a 15x10.

thank you once again,
ls1tech's
for the schooling.
mrbobo, i did not notice 315/60/15 = 30"
thank you for bringing that to attention
ive heard "major surgery" is needed for 30"
and i dont think it is necessary at this time.
GM Muscle and gator's 99TA thank you for answering my question
it is good to know both tires will fit the wheel i'd like
and that 275 will work now and 315 with some effort
should it become necessary later on
all the mods to the car are in the sig
and its just that after going from 3400/2.0 stall to 4000/2.6
im afraid ill never get traction again
245/50/16 nitto drag radials arent letting me WOT until ~25mph
ideally, id like to be able to WOT from a stop
i hope the 275/50-60/15 should do the trick
thanks guys =)

The 275s should do the trick. I sprayed the car from a low first gear roll the other night and the thing just yanked the nose and took off. That's it first for me on the street, it felt good.
What are you running for gears?

Pretty much. I've never felt the car hit that hard on the street before. These tires are deffinatly going to be the death of this car. With 3.23s a 26" tire would probrably be fine for you. I snapped a better side shot of them yesterday if you want to get a better idea of what they look like.

You can order some longer hardend ARP studs if you want but it's not a must. The lugs you will need are an SST style 12mmx1.5 with about a 1.3" shank. Weld makes lugs but stay away from them, they rust. McGard and Excalibur make some nice ones.
No big deal about having the same set up. Everybody and their brother has a set of Prostars.
