Front 275/35ZR18 is best but a 285/35ZR18 can fit.

Out back the best fit is a 295/35ZR18, although I guess there are now 315/30ZR18's available.

Are there any alterations needed for the above tires?

The 275/35ZR18 is identical to the OEM overall diameter, so no mods needed.

I can see I'll be needing to save for some new rear wheels. Do they come in OEM chrome ZR1's?

Depending on the offset of the wheel, there is no guarantee that there will not be any rubbing. If the offset is around 53 to 56 mm, you are in pretty good shape. Some cars have issues some don't.

You should not need any spacers, maybe some very mild inner wheel well modification.
