bogart RR RT???
bogart RR RT??? Im looking at getting these in a 17 for a camaro ss. Can you run these wheels on a daily driver? What kind of prices am I looking at? Anyone have any pics? Thanks, any info would be appreciated.

so would the road race version be ok from a safety standpoint? i wouldnt much worry about rust because that can be avoided by not driving much if at all when its wet. but theres a set of road race wheels that i really want but dont want to worry about cases like that front runner...
bogarts are good, i have a set on my challenger and i'm getting a set for the 98 over the winter. the challenger is not to street drivable but i still drive it to local shows miles away and never had a problem or heard of anyone having problems with bogarts. their not for DD street use thru potholes, dirtroads, blah blah blah. i say if you have extra cash get them you can't go wrong with them.
The road race wheels are very strong and built for road racing applications where obvious high-forces are seen so they must be built to meet these needs.
Could you bend them, sure you could just like any other wheel. Hit a huge pothole bending can occur with any wheels manufacture...stock wheels included.
Regarding rusting bolts, certainly grade 8 bolts can rust, preventative care must be taken just like you take care of any other area that is exposed to the environment. Sealing them with a dab of light oil or wax helps. To date, the bolt issue has not been a factor one bit...this is for OVER 20+ years of history. I think you'll find most if not all customers never complaining or having an issue with a grade 8 bolt.
We did have one customer whom had surface rust forming on the bolt end. There was no preventative maintainence performed in a obviously caustic environment. We can....and i'll stress can regarding some RR designs convert over to stainless 12 point bolts. They will weigh more since the wheel must be designed differently as well as the actually bolts enlarged (diameter and length)...this is an option for specific RR applications and cannot be performed across the board.
