235/55R16 -- basically I dont have money to buy some nice new wider rims.
Either suggestions on performance tires with the same stock size.
or a place to find rims cheap..that I can wrap with BFG g-force KDWs
thanks guys.

Well, if you want to run 275s the cheapest option will probably be to find someone on the boards sellin 17x9 or 17x9.5 zr1 style wheels, those are plentiful and cheap. Or you can look on ebay, I got a set of black zr1s/chrome lip for ~$500 to the door, and that was 17x9/17x11.
That being said, you can get KDWs in 245/50/16.
If your car came with 235s, it probably has the 120mph speed limiter too.

So, did they stop making them in that size or something because I have had two sets of 275/40R17 when I had my SS.

I got these AVON tires over here in Germany. I love um. No worries on the Autobahn. Good in wet weather, when I'm caught out in it anyway.

I don't think that you can get this style in the states. Tirerack has some AVON tires but they are not the ZZ3.
Look good, handle great and have the lip to protect my racing wheels

This thread doesn't really work all that well. There are a few tires listed that I know for a fact suck. Threads like this are skewed so much because of several reasons. This tire is the only tire the person has ever owned. People have completly different opinions on what is good traction, road noise, cornering, etc... People also judge a tire on cost. When they say the best tire is XXX... what they really mean is the best tire I've driven with under $100 is XXX. Which is most likely far from even a decent tire, much less the best tire. If you want a sure review you are just going to have to use several sets until you find the right one. Or, get close by asking someone who has done that very same thing.

I have no doubt that there are better tires out there, but given the price I think they are very tough to beat. They hook VERY well, have a nice, fat rim guard, are quiet, very progressive, and good enough in the rain.
The only downside I can think of is that they aren't very popular, so people assume they are kind of a knock off asian brand. I'd bet they are a little heavy to with the beefy rim guard.
If you drive a lot of miles, I'd push hard for them.
But if you only drive your car as a weekender or summer, then splurging for pricey goodyears or whatever may make more sense.

I have them currently...changed from the KDWS's...I like them so far , they ride nice..very quiet and the rim guard is a plus. They look very good on my Chrome ZR1's, traction is decent on wet pavement but with 500hp at the wheels they arent as sticky as I hoped on dry...overall for the price I wont complain and would consider buying them again in the future.
