Fitting 2000 C5's on 2000 SS Ok this is my first post and I'm new so take it easy on me. My question is I just bought 2000 chrome C5 wheels with Goodyear EMT Run flats. p275 40zr18 in the back and that is where my question is. I put them on and went for a drive. i drove hard into a tight turn and the outside of the left rear rubbed on the inside of the fender. is there a fix for this or do i just need to get rid of them and get the right size? i think my ss wheels are 50mm offset and the C5's are 63mm? how do i find this info? i know you guys have seen this question about 100 times but please i help me and i thank you for your time.

If the tire is rubbing on the outside, I've heard a number of people on this forum talk about rolling the fender lip, but I personally have no experience with the technique. Can anyone who has done this chime in? Again if the tire is rubbing on the outside I don't think kicking it out further with a lower offset would help. If it is rubbing on the inside, a spacer or repro C5s with a different offset should do it.

ok i went out and jacked my car up and looked at the inside to make sure and there is a spot towards the 10 oclock position of the wheel well that looks like the rub because the paint is exposed. i had assumed it was the outer part because when i got home and looked yesterday it appeared that the sidewall (on the visible side) was slightly scuffed but i rubbed it out with a rag and there was no visible sign of wear to my fender.
so if that is the case that the inside not the outside is rubbing a spacer should fix it 1/4"? will the spacers hurt my car with any added stress or anything? thanks.

I ended up putting those wheels back on ebay and only had to eat $75 which was shipping and paypal fees. I bought the same wheel and tire package the 2nd time except with the correct offset and they look great! Then the freakin sail panel bubbled so I had to get that fixed.
