Default Fbody in the rain?

I was just wondering how you guys were doing with street tires in the rain. Does the car feel like any other car in the rain or a bit more loose. I've seen people say these cars suck in the rain, but since i run mt dragradials, my car doesn't see it. Not after the couple of 360's i did in the rain, which taught me my lesson. Tell me about your experiences with heavy rain, with street tires. I plan on switching to some street tires after these wear out. Thanks

Never had any problem with the stock Eagles. But then again I can count on 1 hand the number of times it happened. My car stays in the garage on wet days. Obviously it's got enough power to cause problems in the rain, but driving it like any other car as transportation it does fine in the rain.

I got all season z rated tires so its not bad in the rain. You gotta be careful with these cars! High horsepower and rear wheel drive in the rain is a dangerous combination!

Mine isnt bad in the rain, i really havnt been out in the rain since i put the nittos on, it was a little freaky w/balding dunlops, i'd usually fishtail a little bit leaving a light even though i was very very easy on the throttle, im not looking forward to winter though, its my DD

Going to depend alot on the tires you have, and the common sense of the driver, in mine with stock Goodyears, I had absolutely no problem driving in the rain (and we're talking a torrential downpour) of course if you want to do 90 in the rain, then yeah, you're going to have issues with control.
My first long trip (vacation) drove to South Padre, rained almost the entire way, ranging from a light mist to a heavy rain, I didn't have any problems, I adjusted my speed as the weather conditons warrented, and it was smooth sailing.
These cars are no worse in the rain than any other RWD car, use your head and drive intelligently
BTW prior to the trip I was reading some of the posts here about rain performance, I was expecting to be doing 360's if the road was slightly damp, but IME that's not the case

I don't understand why people think that these cars are going to be worse in the rain because they have more power. It's not like at 1500rpms we have 300rwhp. If you gun it in the rain you are stupid and deserve whatever outcome you get. I don't see how you would spin tires in the rain with any street radial that has decent tread on it.

They're not really worse in the rain than most cars...
I hate driving in the rain period, but it was just the same as when I was driving my maxima, mazda, z71 truck or anything else that I've driven.
You just have to know NEVER put your foot in the gas on a corner when it's even a little wet. And don't ask me how I know that one.

Light throttle in the rain = no fishtailing/spinning, even with worn Nittos.

I lost control doing 25 mph on 3 different occasions, twice was in my old Eclipse. I did a 360 before I got control, VERY frightening. Fbods in rain DONT mix.

never had any problems in a f-body in the rain. Snow once, in my moms six banger * laf she wanted to be like my dad.. * going up a hill it spun the whole way up.

Dont think 4wd makes you invincible either. My father had a 4wd dakota v8 a4 and we spun doing 45 on the freeway in the snow and went into a ditch...

well tried to see how long i could hold out on the worn drag radials...but like always i got caught in a downpour. 360 it right in the middle of International Speedway BLVD at night. i crossed both lanes next to me (still same direction lanes) sideways and barely taped the median. scared the **** out of me but im ok now and learned a valuable lesson.

I don't think any car is invincible in snow.....that's one of the big problems, the idiots with 4X4s who think they can drive like its July outside. 4-Wheel drive helps you get going.....but hit a patch of ice at 50mph and your pretty much just as screwed as the next guy. My dad's Z71 is awesome in the snow....but still very capable of getting out of control if you're stupid enough.

My car does alright in the rain....but you've got to drive smart. Seems like anything over 1/4 throttle of the line and you are spinning. No doubt that driving in the rain sucks, especially at night. Right after I first got the car I punched the throttle in second gear in the rain and wondered why I wans't going anywhere.....it wasn't until the car was almost completely sideways that I realized why. I was lucky to have learned my lesson without hitting anyone or anything.

Ditto... but I have Perelli P-zeros on the front (rain's the ONLY reason I didn't go all-around 555R II's)... although if you want to, they're pretty easy to drift a went corner with... but I keep myself sane at all times on the street.

empty parking lots = another story...

just keep the throttle light and don't enter corners going too fast. keep it calm.

Oh yah - one more thing, NEVER take it into the Snow or Ice unless your life freakin depends on it... k - don't even do it then. Ever seen a vid of a A4 Fbody idling on snow? They even spin then...
