I do not own them but from reading up ive heard that Nitto always runs smaller so i would guess that there 285 is like a normal 275 so it should fit perfectly on a 9" wheel. Someone correct me if im wrong but i would guess it should fit pretty good.

Pull up the tire specs on their website, it will tell you there.

yeah superman, your correct, they tend to run small... you should be 99% ok running that kind of tire on a 9inch rim. Shouldent have any real bulging issues with that tire.

im runnin 275/35s on some 18x8.5 and i almost put 285/35s on. 285/35s will work great on a 18x9 wheels you could go a lil bigger if you wanted

285/35ZR18 is recomended for a 10" wide wheel. The sidewalls on 18's are damned short, and you are really pushing it, forcing the incorrect tire onto too small of a wheel.

i have a buddy with an 03 s10 runnin 275/35 on his 18x8s and he almost put 285/30s on them, and this is from lesschwab, i have 275/35s on my 18x8.5 and ive herd of 295/35s on 18.8.5 "thats pushin it" but i think that 285/35s on a 18x8.5 will be just fine!!! i know i can fit 295/45s on my 18x8.5 easy but thats with the 45 sidewalls.
