Default 8 inch Backspace?

Ordered Boyd Rebels 11's for the rear w/ 7.75 inch backspace and they came in with an 8 inch BS. Anyone with 11's on the back have 8 inch BS? I went ahead and had them sent back to redo but I was curious to see if anyone else had this BS.

8" is fine. Just do the BFH mod to the inners and center the rear with an Adjustable Panhard Bar

Doing the math, with an 8 inch BS, the rim is 11" but actual lip to lip is 12" so these have a +50 offset which will work but I am afraid the will set in too far and not look right, plus I have like a 1/4 inch less of the "deep dish look".

But here is the flip to that. IMO, your wheel will be sticking out too much. Here are some pics of my car. Wheel is a Fikse 17x11 actual width at 12" Backspacing is actually even more than 8" and look how it bearly clears the quarter lip. My car is a TA so the quarters are even also wider than your SS.

Actually you are right, I have been reading all of the freaking "will this fit" threads I can and, I think Boyds got it right. I am going to have to call this morning and put a stop to returning those wheels. We were going to call first to see what's up and why it was 8" when we specified 7.75 though, but Boyds prolly knew what it should be.

Thanks 69TA, for all the help, I think I just paniced because I didn't realize the wheel swould be 12". Once I came home and started doing the math I began to see it. I am glad I posted this on here though, save alot of trouble. Thanks again

Reading this thread you are just fine for a Camaro. That is how the ZR-1's are set up.

Unbelievable, I called Discount Tire back to have them go ahead and mount the tires to the wheels. Guy calls me back little bit after that, they dropped one and bent the lip, has to go back and get a new hoop. Who knows how long. I should have just taken them yesterday!
