Default 17x11 ZR1 question (no its the the same question asked over and over)

ok so i see all these replicas out there, that are not correct, they have that 2 inch or whatever lip that looks like crap IMO, anybody know where i can get some of the deep lug pattern ZR1s ala real GM castings? i found ONE for around $300 used, and i would then have to hunt down the other one... anybody want to help me?

Look around for the Grand Sport Offest. I think that's what it's called. Personally, I like my lip.

Its a good thing I read this post. I was starting to think that the pics that I was looking at of the ZR1's were playing tricks on me.

So, they do make the ZR1's that have the fatter lip? Who makes them? I think those look good. IMO

I was looking somewere on page 2 or 3 under this topic and saw a blue Z28 with silver Zr1's.. You could tell they had a fat lip. Then, I looked over on Ebay at the Zr1's and they didn took like they had any lip at all.. Let me see if i can find it again to compare.

Where did you get yours then. I like the "deep dish" look.

uh huh, thats what i want, but nobody seems to make these.

i have two front GM 98 SS wheels, and i want to just get two 17x11s for the rear (GM preferably) with that deep lug pattern. so i guess none of the sponsors have these wheels?

That NBM Camaro in your previous post looks very familiar...oh wait! I know! It's mine!

I bought my rims (with the lip) from a guy on this board, so I don't know where he got them originally. I'm not sure anyone makes the Grand Sport (deep lug) size any more. You might be able to call Replica Alloys and see if they have any leads...

ok my turn. the offset has absolutley no bearing on the lip or deep centers. if u compare the grand sport wheel and the zr1 wheel they look identical besides the color. u will notice the diff however when u measure them. the only company i have been able to find that MADE (no longer does) the deep center is afs. they have since changed manufacturers and they no longer have the deep center, but they also dont have the lip. they look like a 9" rim that was widened. (the lug nut holes are really deep and hard to get at) i bought a pair of them from afs and put them on only to find that they are much more squared off and didnt match the stock ss wheels. all the other aftermarket companys such as o.e wheels etc have the lip on them, regardless of offset. if u google search for a couple hours u will find a few companys that sell REAL gm zr1 wheels for between 230 and 270. however they are refurbished not new. u can buy the real gm wheels brand new from gm parts direct-----------> for 3xx a peice. i have been in this search for 9 months and accuired a lot of info in this period. unfortunately for me i have chrome wheels and buying a set of gm's and chroming them isnt a viable option as i could own fiskes buy the time im done with all of that. mine only hope is to find some OLDER style afs wheels and deal with the slightly more square appearance. hope this helps cop car. let me know if u dig up anything new.

well i searched ebay and all i found was the ones with the lip. i knew the OE company ones were like that but that sucks that AFS went to that style. i dont like them near as much without the deep centers. they look like stock GM ones too from the gran sport. i guess you are just gonna have to search the for sale forum. thats what i would do cause i will not buy the other style. but thats just me. i am bias i guess here are some pics of what you want
