Alright, in my last post some suggestions that seemed prevalant were TTIIs with graphite gray centers, Z06s(blah), ZR1s(blah!), and Y2K replicas(hmm).

I have come to the conclusion that I will be solely using my car for autox/daily driving and probably work towards making it of show quality.

One wheel that is very affordable and undeniably sexy is the HP Evo

I decided to photoshop a set of those on my car.(God that 3" lip is nice!!!)

What do you guys think? I'm working on making them look like the hyperdarks as I type. Maybe even the black with polished lip, not sure. I think that with the addition of a SS style hood(I think it's Sunoco that makes the larger than OEM but same design SS hoods) and maybe a Berger rear panel with silver inserts, and first gen Z/28 badges... it may look quite bitchin

And in case you are wondering I believe a 1" drop will eventually take place to, so squint your eyes to get rid of the 4x4 look

 

Ya, add the SS hood and you got yourself a winner there. Looks pretty sweet!!!

 

Yea i think the hyperdarks or even black would look killer with the drop and SS hood your talkin about! I say go for it!

 

Here are TTIIs with a charcoal center...

They don't look as good as I thought that they would

For anyone with evos: how hard are they to clean? This will be my daily driver. I'm thinking that hyper dark would be a better choice for me that way the only polished surface I'll have to worry about is the lip.

I couldn't darken up the image without making the wheels look goofy so I can't get those hyper dark photo-chops I was trying to do... doh.

 

I think the TT2s look better.

 

I just put my hyperdarks on today and took some pics. I will get them up tomorrow if you wanna use those to photochop with, cuz they are the hyperdarks.

What are some other wheels that have a nice lip to them?

Or some that just look plain muscular?

These must look good in your car. I went with 19x9.5, lip is 3.5 inches

And what is the lip size on 18x9s?

And what is the widest you can fit on 18x9 and 19x9.5 without any adverse affects? I think 275s are possible on the 18x9s, could I go as far as 295s on 19x9.5s?

 

the lip size on the 18x9 is 3in. Im not sure on the tire size question though.

Do you know if there will be any fitment issue with larger brakes? I'm guessing that the LS1 brakes will fit since obviously some of them use TTIIs, but will stuff like Baer or the Corvette rotors and calipers cause any issues?

Not too many people have them(black chrome... I know everyone and their uncle has every other zr1 on their Fbody )

I think they're pretty sweet looking... not too many colors can pull this wheel off right
