Question MT ET Street guys

Do you guys run tubes with these? Do they hook pretty well on the street? How much life do you get out of them if driven on the street on weekends? Tire pressure for the street?

You guys recommend these opposed to the MT Street Radial?

It depends on how much driving you are going to do. I had them mounted on a seperate set of wheels i would throw on over the weekend, ran them at 12 LBS, and they hooked decently. If they are just going to be street use and a lot of driving i would get Radials. Things get a little hairy when you are on ET streets and it starts raining!!!

Yeah they would only be used weeknd nights for some late night street racing. I don't plan on using them for daily driving for the simple fact of getting caught in rain.

Thanks,

i've been caught in the rain with my mt et streets and they weren't as bad as i thought they would be. they weren't great in the rain by a long shot but on the street for me, they've hooked up more than a 2 dollar ***** in vegas.

I and nobody I know runs tubes in the ET Streets. Had both the bias ply and now the radial. I can tell you that for me the radial is much better on the street and the track for traction and stability. (no sway on top end) So I highly recommend the radial, especially for an A4. Haven't been caught in the rain but from the looks of them ,neither one would be good.

Use them for just the track. I too have never ran tubes with them and have had no problems with them. I try to run anywhere from 12-16 psi on the track. Cut 1.7's with the MW 3600/2.2 with I had the A4 in the car.

Agree with the above, tubes are not needed. Bias ply or radials.

For the guys running low pressure in these tires, try starting a little higher in PSI next time out, I've cut 1.4 60ft's with my 275/50 15 MT Radials @ 20-22psi in them.

Everybody seems to be pointing me to the radials instead of the ET's.
