Default 17's vs 18's

For a nice performance look, or generally, which combo in your opinion look the best? For the z06's, 17's all the way around, 17's front 18's rear, or 18's all around. Also can you guys post some pics of the different combos so I can have a visual? I am mainly concerned with the z06's. Thanks

18" on all four corners above.

Go either all 17" or all 18" the mixed diamter IMHO looks totally wrong on a F-Car, since the OD of the tires needs to be the same unlike the Vette.

I prefer the look of 17s, the 18s have to thin of a tire for my liking. Not to mention saving money on tires with the 17s

I agree %100. I dont like 18's or 19's on F bodies. 17's for street, 15's for track.

I agree 19's look a bit too large but the 18's are perfect in my opinion. I just switched from 17's to 18's and I prefer the 18's.

Looks great Xsta!

I had the 17x9.5/18x10.5s on my 02 Z and liked how it looked. I just wish I hadn't put 245s on the front.

17x9.5 on 275/40/17 up front and 18x10.5 out back on 295/35/18. The car is lowered, so I had to do a little hammering of the inside wheel well.

Not really a big deal to me, but I have the 17/18 combo. Looks ok, but the fatter tire up front does kinda bug me sometimes.

Im thinking about ordering the 17x18s black Z06s with the chrome lip/rivets, ive never relized how noticable the thicker sidewall is on the front tire. But im a cheap *** and rather pay for just 2 18in tires instead of 4, and 17s just look to small on Fbodies in the rear. If i get a good deal on some tires i might go 18s all around. Hopefully with a black wheel and a black car you wont notice the offset of the sidewalls as much

I wonder how it would look if you dropped the front more than the back, so the tire tucks in the well the same??? That way it doesn't look dropped out back, and raised up front. Anybody have any pics of that?

That'll be good to see. Funny, didn't even see your car when I first replied, I was writing while you were posting.

I was thinking if I did it, I would look at the Eibach Sportlines (1.6in drop) in the front, Prokit (1.2in drop) in the rear. I haven't done it yet, but I would check out the spring rates to make sure I'm not screwing myself on that combo. If I needed more of a drop in the front, I'd check out the BMRs. I like my set-up now with 17s all around, but I have thought about 18s out back and this is how I would approach it.

Do 18's handle that much better. I have 2 fbodies one with 17 and one with 18's thinking of switching, I just dont' know if they handle that much better, but less sidewall more bumpy and less traction so......

18's all around, the only thing is that with 18's drag radials get harder to get..
