i had some 255/40 on my 17*9.5 z06 wheels and i thought they were pretty narrow...to me, the wheel seemed to stick out more than the tire...those 245s should work but its not gonna look as nice as some 275s would

to answer your question flat out.. it will work.. just dont bump anything because your rim will hit before the tire.... so think.. is it worth 200+ for tires that fit right, or 500+ for new rims after they get fucked up.. and anyway, your just going to get pissed that it looks like ****.. how about throwing them on, then putting them on the back and filming us a burnout video..

I had 245 Kuhmos on the front Z06s on my '02 Z. I only put those on them b/c the wheels were for the '69 and 275s rubbed on the front, but it wasn't running yet so I threw them on the Z when I bought it.

edit: tires are 235/45/17 and They have about 75% tread left. I got these for free and just got 275 nittos for the back. Anyone have pictures of a 235/45/17 tire on 17 x 9.5 rim? I really want to use these for the front. Also, are they safe or not on this size rim?

Take it from me you DO NOT WANT TO PUT 245'S ON A 9.5 INCH WHEEL! They bow in at the top, look stupid and you lose about 1 inch of height. I have them on the front of my car, the car bottoms out more than it used to, rides pretty crappy and It also makes the gap between the wheel well and the tire huge. When I compare them to my old wheels with 275's they are and inch shorter because they bow in. I am refering to 17 inch wheels maybe if the sidewall is taller it wont be as bad. If your talking about a 17 inch wheel or larger I am sure you will be very disapointed.
