Default 15x8 Prostars....?

I want to run 15x10 7.5 (some grinding) in the rear and 15x8 up front. Does anyone know what backspacing I would need for the front? I'm even thinking about going 15x7 or 15x6 up front. I only see the track about a handful of times a year but really love the Prostar look! I just cant imagine trying to run 15x4 or 15x3.5 on a daily driver. I have a 2002 Camaro, I know the stock rims are 16x8 but just not sure on the backspacing. Not even sure if I would have to grind on the front or not if I went 15x8, 7 or 6!

All help would be greatly appreciated!
Dave

You won't have any caliper left if you try to fit anything other than a 15x3.5 on the front.

Could you use a spacer? Or 2 spacers and some grinding?

Not that I'm aware of. There'd still be too much rim.

Arent the wheel wells smaller up front too?
I grinded my fronts quite a bit so my 3.5s would fit with no problem.

Damn,.... that is not what I was wanting to hear! Does anyone run 15x3.5 up front on a daily driver? My car is driven everyday but only for about 7 miles one way. I just love the Prostar look.

Yea, lots of guys run the 3.5s every day. You just have to go a little slower on the curves and such, and you won't have as much braking ability on the front b/c there'll be less of a contact patch between the tires and the road. Other than that, you'll be fine. I drove with mine for a while with no problems. They actually made me drive safer.

It's not the tires, it's the rims that aren't DOT approved. I got looks all the time too I wouldn't think that the cops would mess with you, but if they're bored enough and know that they're not DOT legal, they might mess with you. I can't see one giving you a ticket over it though. I wouldn't write one because of them..maybe just stop the guy to see what all he's done to the car

I really wish their were more cops like you! It seems like most cops hate kids under 20 years old, I guess we just only see the bad ones.
