I'm looking to get BLACK zr1s for the Z but I want the ones with the "deep centers" and I can't seem to find any. They have a ton on ebay but none of them have the deep centers like I want. Personally I think it makes the wheel look wider when looking at it from the side.
I'm looking for the whole set btw (17X9.5 front & 17X11 rear)
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

I think that the ones with the "deep center" are the Grand Sport 50mm offset. Maybe Discount Tire, a sponsor here on the board, can help you locate some. Also try the classifieds here on the board.

I'm not talking about the lip (eventhought I like the deeper lip), I'm talking about where the "lugs" are (the very center of the wheel) / the ones that sit in reeaally deep.

What it sounds like you are looking for is a wheel with less backspacing . Realize on a standard rear axle, with less backspacing, the wheel/tire is going to stick out beyond the fenders. Many wheel makers offer a range of backspacing. This would give you a "deep dish" alright, but how's that going to look sticking out the fenders ? Add a narrowed rear end, and a mini-tub, and you have it all.

I found this thread which should clear it up... but I still don't know where to get them?????
ok heres the skinny. the deep center rims came from 2 places. 1 being gm. the oem wheels on the grand sport (36 mm) and the zr1 (50 mm) both had they deep center. then the old style afs rims also had the deep center on either the 36 or the 50 mm. the style that has the lip is made by oe wheels. which are repros. the ones u see with the sharper edges are the newer style afs rims which are now in their 3rd (to my count) design. the first was rounded edge deep center. 2nd was sharper edge deep center. and now sharp edge and same style center as fronts but with deeper lug holes.

Call AFS and have them search their stock. I might be selling my wheels soon, however they have the 36.5 mm offset in the rear. Not the best angle in the pic to show the depth, but they are the deep inset wheel.

They are no longer made with the deep center. I sold one of my old AFS deep center 11's to a friend that tried to get a matching one and ended up haivng to buy 2 11" wide newer shallow ones instead.
