Default 20x9 wheels on Camaro Z28 F-Body (year 2000)

Hi,

I saw a 20x9 (offset +14) or 20x8.5 (offset +40) Gitano G14 wheels offer for Camaro F-Body (year 2000) on the internet. (5x4,75)

Has anybody experience with 20" wheels on an Camaro?
They could come together with 245/30-20 oder 255/30-20 tires,
without any diameter problems.

Could anybody help?

Thanks,
Camarobert

i'm looking into 20x9s for my ride, the us wheels iroc's. i've been trying to call summit to find out the offset, also trying to see what tire size will work. I think 20s will look verry good, and get rid of that ugly fender gap that everyone else has. if i do get them for my 00'ss, and i like it, i'll get them for my 90'iroc also. 16 to 20 has to be sic!

Fender gap can also be elimiated by lowering

as for the wheel gap comment, buying 20" wheels WILL NOT fix that problem, when you get larger size diameter rim you compensate by going with a smaller sidewall to try and maintaine the stock over all wheel diameter.

if anything, putting 20"s with a tiny sidewall will only make that fender gap look worse, the only way to get rid of fender gap properly is lowering.

also, say goodbye to any sort of traction you ever had, it will no longer be there. i have 18's and hate the traction, im working on going down to 17's now.

What kind of tires do you have? I have 18's and they stick like crazy. Plus, the contact patch is huge...compared to stock 16's anyway.

I can only recall one guy who was able to pull off 20s on and f body. The car was a black LT1 style SS with 20" iForged Aeros on the back and 19s on the front.

So unless your getting Aeros, don't do it.

19/20 here. There are a very limited selection of wheels that look nice in this size.
