Default M/T's 325-50-15's low down

I hav e just received a set of M/T's 325-50-15 and mounted them on weld's pro stars 15-10 with a 7.5 inch. B/S.. Rims fit fine with the bump stop... once the tire was mounted it was another story.. I had to remove the bump stop and then some --- along with the forward inner lower rail and had to use a BFH to roll the lower portion of the front inner frame -- wheel well ---Took approx. 1.5 hrs on the d/s which I did first then the p/s went very smooth as I knew exactly what had to be removed to fit.. these tire's will fit very nicely but need work to fit properly without spacers and not sticking out past the outer fender... I'll try to get some pic's up tomorrow with the tires on and off of the car.. Oh ya it's a 2000 T/A ram air ws6 for those who want to know the vehicle..

Nos junky I noticed that you didn't stud your tires... Run into any problems with launching I was just woundering -- tires are hooking great and I hope that my new combination doesn't over power a real nice time -- i should be right about a 1.2 range for my 60' time.. I got your pm

Thanks

Wayne

I havent had any problems with the tires turning on the rim . My converter is VERY tight so the car works pretty good on the gas(9.8xx@138mph) on a 150hp shot.It doesnt leave very hard on motor(1.51 60' and 11.02@123mph on motor) so I'll probably never screw them, plus I drive the car ALOT so i think I'm gonna leave the converter alone(still gets around 18mpg driving normal). If you 60' in the 1.20's with a "heavy" car you may need them. My wifes mustang hasnt ever had any issues and it 60's in the low 1.20's unscrewed(@2900lb.'s).
BTW the car looks Great!

Thanks for the input.. My car's weight better be low by now took alot out of it and changed just about everything that I could to lower my weight as well. My tranny is a hugh's turbo 400 built to the guills with a 9 inch 4,000 stall. rear is a strange H/D s/s posi with 4.11 gears and a denny's nos ready d/s as well --last year I was running high 9's but had a boo boo and then boom went the motor.. so I now have a new one in there..

Thanks again

Let me know what it weighs with the weight out. My pig still weighs 3780!
I also did the Moser 9"with aluminum center section/posi(3.50 gear) and TH400 with rev. man valve body and pro brake. what engine combo are you running? Sounds like you have very nice setup!

I was gonna order the tires thru a local speed shop and they were not in stock and had to have them drop shipped once they were built. They were told that they were on a 2 week back order and the price has gone up.. I asked what was my price and they were about 40 bucks more per rim and he just told me to order them thru summit if they had them so I did..

Wow those are sexy as hell. Does anyone have a write up with pics on what must be removed/ground/etc to get them to fit?

I've got the same tires and get 1.41's 60'
Hitting it off the line with NOS may be a different story though.
I can only launch off the footbrake (3000 rpm's) and even as low as 2500 off the transbrake the tires just break loose.
Good luck
