Default Are Mods required for 315 TTII's on the rear?

For those of you with TTII's, if I am putting 17x11 TTII's with 315/35/17's on the rear, will I have to use the BFH mod or roll my fender lip? I don't really want to have to do any of this.

Thanks

More than likely, mine usually hit on highway driving where there are dips, or if I have people in the backseat. An adjustable panhard rod may help some, but more than likely you will have too. I have an eibach pro kit by the way, if your not lowered then I don't think it will hit. Hope this helps.

If you are at stock ride height no. There is no way mine would ever have a clearance problem...

Even at stock ride height you may have to do some BFH. You will not have to roll the outer fender lip unless your car is lowered. It also depends on what tires you choose. If you have Nittos you may not have any rubbing, but if you go with Goodyear GS-D3s you probably will. At stock ride height, I had to do some BFH for my GS-D3s to fit. It wasn't really a big deal. You can't really mess anything up doing it.

I had 17/11's on the back of mine with BFG 315/35's. All I had to do was unbolt the 2 bump stops and they cleared. This is at factory ride height though.

You have Nitto's which are known to be one of the smallest 315's around. My guess is this is the reason you did not need the BFH mod. Switch to a BFG or Goodyear out back and you will probably need at least a BFH. Then again TA's do have a little more room out back than Camaros.

BTW, your car looks great. Any more full length pics?

To answer the original question, you may be able to get away without any mods since my guess is you have a TA by your user name. You'll just need a smaller 315. If your car is lowered the odds of not having to do any mod is slim IMHO.

Budnik Hammers with BFG drag radials in rear on mine,No BFH,No rolling fenders,No shaving bump stops,No rubbing. But my car is a factory height Firehawk with the Bilstein suspension.Which I guess is lower than a stock T/A.

I beleive it's the bottom part of the fender, the side closer to the front of the car. This is what I had to hammer at least. Yes, the paint doesn't look too awfully great once you are done with it, but it's all under the car facing straight down, so nobody will ever see it. It probably has a lot to do with what kind of hammer you use too

*edit* Here's a pic (don't mind the dirt or the loose jam nuts on the LCAs, I was adjusting things ) of the driver's side. Front of the car on the left

*another edit* That was done to help fit 15x10 wheels with 28x11.5" tires. Hammering might not have to be done for the 17x11s

well technically it's the outer fender portion of you fender... another word your outer fender. there is a 90* lip that sticks out and you have it rolled to at least 45*'s or more to avoid cutting of the tire. also if you have it professionally done no cracking of the paint will occur. there are also fender rollers that you can rent to do it yourself. using a heat gun may be required as well for security sake. i know there are a few people on the board renting this equipment out, 69TA is one of them along with a few other i think

Or just a hammer, it's impossible to see it when the wheels are on
