I'm looking at doing his Chrome Z06 18x9.5/10.5 combo but noticed the offset on the 10.5's are +58mm. That offset won't work with a 295 tire out back will it? I don't mind doing the bfh mod, but don't want to have to roll the fender lip.

That offset will push the wheel further back into the wheel well and I'd bet you will need to use the BFH at least maybe even cut the bump stop. I doubt rolling the fenders will be required as the wheels will sit further back I believe. If they were a +38mm then a fender roll might be needed. Hard to be sure until you try them.

get the +56mm offset if you can. I got the same combo from him with 56 and have no probs. No fender issue just bumpstop and BFH mods needed.

I had 18x10.5 +58mm wheels on the rear of my 2002 Z28, with Kumho Escta MX 295/35/18 tires with no inner fenderwell mods needed. I did have an APHR though, and it was CLOSE, like 1/16" or so, but they never rubbed. No bumpstop issues, either, just had to jack up by the rearend to remove the wheels/tires, if I jacked the car, the rim would hit the bumpstop. Stock height fwiw.

Well my main concern is that when I lower it, it will have multiple clearance issues. I wanted to run the 295 but it seems as though I may have to go with the 285 and ask for a +56 mm offset. What do you guys think?

Dmiasz28: your car is not lowered is it?

I would go with P275 9.5" on every wheel. Then you can rotate your tires. Have you ever seen a 285 next to a 275? There is barely any difference. 10mm is nothing and not even going to be visible when mounted IMHO.

It may not be. All depends on the tire and the wheel offset. I've read where some guys run 315's on a 11" wheel and claim no rubbing. I've also read where guys with 295's and 10" wheels have rubbing issues. In general I think the TA has a bit more room out back than the Z but for some reason not all 315 tires are the same width. I would expect all 315's to be 315mm wide but from what I have read some are not as wide as others.

I have the same setup in the rear + I'm dropped 2". No problems at all, only thing I had to do was a little bit of BFH. 295/35/18 +58mm

So, you all think I can be confident in buying the 18x10.5 w/295 tire and not worry about havng a wheel/tire combo that won't work?

madicev8: any pics?
