If we are talking about wheel that is backed by the manufacturer, is strong AND extremely light then Bogart is the ****. My customers are beyond cheap(even my 11.00 sec guys) they want a wheel that performs and looks good. The Weld Alumnastar or Magnums are the only ones even close and the Bogarts has more styles available.

Decisions..decisions. I'd say Bogart if the price was comparable to the Welds, but Prostars are my favorites, with Telstars coming in 2nd. So I guess I'll vote Bogart if the weight savings are still there.

I voted bogart also, with hopes that the 'econo line' you're talking about might use a slightly heavier structure to make the skinnies not as suseptical to cracking on the street. What I'd like to see would be something like the CCW track pack, with a few different wheel styles in a couple sizes. A friend of mine just picked up a CCW track pack setup, 16x5.5s in the front and 16x10.5 rears, and he drives them on the street all the time. These wouldnt need to be custom made, just made to fit our cars with stock brakes, etc.

i voted for welds...i think the draglites are the sexiest drag wheels out there, i just wish i didnt have to grind the calipers...i really would love to see weld make the normal sizes (15 x 3 1/2, 4, 8, 10) that would fit f-body's...

Madman, I'm not looking for a high end wheel. I'm looking for a wheel that will get me to and from the track on cheater slicks, without the risk of failure. I don't want to pay a big premium because this or that wheel is so good looking. Weld and Centerline both make numerous wheels that are very modestly priced, read $200 Vs $400 for high end, and IMHO look very nice. The fallicy is that people have been conditioned to think that you have to pay a big price to get a high quality product. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The "economy" Bogarts wouldn't be the badass 'high end' type wheels. You get what you pay for. We are just throwing a feeler out there to see if there is demand for some Bogart style wheels that could be produced on a budget that would fit these cars. They probably wouldn't be as light as the high end version, but they could possibly look as nice. Lets face it, the majority of guys buying drag wheels go for appearance first, then worry about the weight (because all "drag" wheels/tires are still lighter than factory wheels/tires). Only the diehard track racers with full blown racecars worry more about having the lightest wheel possible.
These "cheaper" wheels are mostly for street/strip cars and will usually serve a dual purpose. Not targetting the best-of-the-best racer type consumers. They are the minority here.

If Bogart can produce an economy wheel that is safe for the street, then they will own the market. It seems so obvious this is the type wheel that most street/strip guys are looking for. Why Bogart didn't manufacture an economy wheel years ago is beyond me. All the guys that have ground down their calipers surely would have bought a Bogart that fit without grinding, if the price was right.
