Default MT 275/60/15 and a 125 shot...will it stick?

Do you guys think that my car (mods are in my sig) will hook up using MT 275/60/15 ET Street Radials with a 125 shot? Or do you think I should just get a 26x9" ET Drag?

if you launched it hard on a 10 bolt, you would leave the 10 bolt on the line as you coasted off.

Yea you'll stick, you are probably gonna have to mess around with the tire pressure to see what works best for you. But it will hook, your gonna bog down on the launch as soon as the tires hook.

I'm going to bog down with 525hp going to the wheels through a 12 bolt?

My advice is to go with a set of e.t. streets or drags. Mickey Thompson does not recommend those tires for a stick car. Judging by your suspension mods, the car would be better off with e.t. streets. My car ran a 7.33@100 on the 100 shot with a 1.79 60' and on e.t. streets and a 150 shot it ran 6.98@101.42 and a 10.89@126 with a 1.60' and cut a best of a 1.58 60'. I left at 5500 on the kit and it hook pretty good. I have got the same suspension as you so we are close to the same ball park. O and if you don't have a torque arm I would suggest getting the UMI tunnel brace mounted TA. It might a big difference on my car.

BTW I wouldn't even bother running your car on motor. On drag radials with 3.89 gears leaving at 5500 my car was bogging. So instead of leaving harder, I just sprayed it. Needless to say the car didn't bog. I am not saying yours is going to be the same but there is a good chance that it will. Notice on here that all the 6-speed guys that run all motor have 4:30's or 4:56's and that is the reason why. ***** an LS1!

Im gonna have to agree with him!!!6 speed cars are a little diff than auto cars, as far as tire setup is concerned.

ET Streets it is. I'm going to go with a 27x10.5 to mount on my 15x8 pro stars. The minimum wheel width for the 27x10.5 ET Street is 7.9" according to Summit, so I should be okay with the 8" wheel. Thanks for the advise guys.

Yeah, with a tuned suspension and an auto. It's a different story when it comes to stick cars. I tried a set myself, and sold them within a week. I have to admit the car was alot faster on the big end, but it would not come out of the hole.

I'm going to run it a few times before I put the new fuel system and N2O in. So I doubt I'll be putting it on the bumper. I'm just going to try to get a feel for the new clutch, tires, and suspension set-up.

I ordered a pair of M/T 27x10.5/15 ET Streets. I think I'll like them. The car will probably bog down until I put the N2O in, my best time so far is a 12.40 @114 on street tires, we'll see what happens with skinnies and the ET streets, a new clutch, and stiffer suspension.
