Default 18x10.5 with 58mm offset

Hello, i checked the stickey up top and for a 10.5 wide wheel, the suggested offset doesnt include 58mm. Looking at picking up some wheels and they are 18x10.5 with a 58mm offset for the rear. How will these fit? Would like to put a BFG 315 on it.... will they fit or will they sit too far in or too far out? LMK, thanks! Also if anyone has any pics of their 18x10.5's with 58mm offsets, post up please, curious as to know this will sit and fit of course. Thanks!

I had a 54mm offset with 285 18x10.5 all the way around and they worked great.

I did, thye are rather tucked in and on a Firebird it will be even more, since the quarters are wider.

Some BFH is needed, but a nice spacer up to 1/2" would make them look great.

don't really want to run a spacer so with some BFG 315 DR's, only some BFH will be needed? Thanks for the response!

Agreed. I'm running a 7/16" spacer for my 18x10.5 Y2K's.

Yes, but barely. I used the spacers for appearance. It just looks much better.

May I ask why you wouldn't want to run a spacer? A 1/4" spacer with those 58mm offsets would be very nice. IMO 58mm alone will be too tucked in...

I dont want to run a spacer due to i have heard that it is unsafe to run one with higher HP applications and these wheels will be on the car for street and track use. Thoughts on this...... anyone run the 58mm offset without a spacer and fit a 315? Pics if anyone has them of their 58mm offsets as well and pics with spacers. Thanks! Dont want spacers for the safety reasons only.

315's would be very tough with that offset. I had to do the inner wheel well massaging with 295's so 315's will be worse.

Spacers aren't unsafe, if used correctly.

Give Andris at SPD a call - www.skulte.com. Tell him you want a pair of 1/4" thick hubcentric slip-on spacers for your 99 TA. Plan on spending ~ $80. These will be billet aluminum and machined to the correct bolt circle, stud diameter, and hub bore. You will want to be sure and get at least 6 full turns worth of engagement on the lugs when re-installing the wheels with spacer in place. Since your sig states you have TT's on the way, I imagine you're running a 12-bolt or 9", which will have more threads on the aftermarket wheels studs anyway and you'll be fine.
