bald tires and smooth pavement is good... but youd be better off with DRs or MT streets.

i would have to vouch for that. when my bridgestone potenza re950's were new to half worn i was cutting a 2.1-2.2 60' with exhaust only. then when they got really bald but still had enough that you could feel tread i was cutting 1.95-2.0 60's consistantly. i was poor though, i wouldnt run them bald, get some ET streets like previously said.

My Yokohama AVS Sports are pretty close to the indicator marks that tell you it's time for new tires. I have no traction at all. These are 315's in the back, and I got a Spohn chassis mounted adjustable torque arm, SLP SFC's, BMR LCA's, UMI double adjustable rod ended PHB. The car made 375 rwhp on the dyno last time around.

I can't wait for new tires....

When my old BFG KDW tires were bald I had NO traction. I could be in second at low RPM's and floor it and they would spin. Now with my Toyo Proxes they only hook

Well, usually with bald tires & these cars you won't see traction. I had a set of KDWS tires on that were bald for a little while. They would let the rear just randomly slide out if the road was wet any at all. And if it was dry there was not traction after half throttle.

But at the track they did hook good after only lightly spinning them to clean them off. I was cuttin 2.1 60' on them till they got too bad. Here is a pic of what they looked like compared to the new tires that took their place.
