Nitto DR is the best in the rain, but not if they are worn. The M/T and BFG drag radials are horrible in the rain. I got caught in a light shower on my M/T drag radials about a month ago and had to go 15 mph to avoid hydroplaning. Scary ****!

A good traction non-drag radial would be the BFG KDW. Great tires, and they have deep treads that wear longer than most.

Are those BFG KDW's good for cornering? Do they have a strong sidewall?

If you want a more extreme tire for the track than the KDW's, go for the BFG KD's. My bro has had them for years and they hook as good as any non radial tire out there and aren't suicidal if you get caught in the rain as long as you drive cautiously. Another tire that is comparable to the KDW's are the GSD-3's, excellent in the rain and decent enough at the track in my experiences.
