Ban,

Although I like a 19 I think it's just to large for fitment reason at least the 98 WS6, unless someone wants to go with a 30 or 35 profile tire. I now run 285/45/18 on 10" rims. I did have 275/40/18.

Why I went with 18x10:
I did not want to loose any ride quality by going to a lower profile tire like a 35.

The wheel well in front of the front wheels right now has only about 1/4 inch clearance when the wheels are turned and with new tires on these 18's. 19's with 40 series would cause them to rub.

When he car is lifted in the air the gap behind the rear wheel with 19's and 40 series would also hit.

They got some cheap prices on those wheels and look similar to the ones you were looking at.

See i think your car sits too high and the tires are too tall. That is just my .02 I have 18x9.5 woth 275/35R18 now. The 40 or 45 series tires are too tall for anything over a 17. Plus it changes the speedo etc...

Most older folks like me prefer the brand's (GM) original look. I'll leave the "no rubber on the rim jap car look" to all the civic and eclipse drivers. The pictures are slightly deceiving becasue the car is actually lowered 1.4" from stock. LS1 Edit was used to change the speedometer. It's all preference I guess.

BTW-The car in the beginning of this post is guaranteed to be a harsh driving watch for the next pothole creep sideways over the speedbump can't go up that drieveway cus I'll high center and if I hit a bump while taking turns my tires rub...ride.

I voted they look great cause they do. as long as you understand your more likely to f up your wheels and/or tires, will have a rougher ride, less traction, and look badass! than go for it.

Your car looks good, but there are a few things; going with a 40% tire won't really help your ride quality, 35% tires aren't ricer, where do you think they got it from? The exotics. You could leave the drilled/slotted rotors on stock calipers to them too, but again its all preference. As a disclaimer, I don't run 19's by any stretch, but like you said its all about opinion!

NineBall's SS rode good with the 19's. I think the Nitto 555's had alot to do with that.

Nothing wrong with them as far as I'm concerned. I'm getting some after I sell my vette but I'm going CCW 505a with 18's up front and 19's out back.

I had looked at pics of the engine bay of your anniversary SS before, but never seen the car itself. I am really suprised by the wheels you had on, they look great, but from what little I know about you, they seem out of your charateristics. You seem like a 5 or 10 spoke wheel type person to me, but I guess I was wrong

Regardless, the car was beautiful.

I can't vote because there is no option for "They look good if done right".

The key factor is the width of the wheel.

I've seen some 19's that look awful because they get 7 or so inch wide wheel. It just looks plain ridiculous. They can be made to look awesome though if done right, such as the examples so far in this thread.

i think 18's look the best, espcially 10.5's in the rear.

Used to have 19's...

...didn't really like them because of less traction and rougher ride.

18's are big enough for me, they do look pretty clean on the right car though, but I'm not sure I'd want my car to be any slower or have any worse traction, the 18's did a number on my power

Here are a couple of mine and they don't look to big and there 19's great look in my opinion. They don't look right if the car is not lowered though
