not much really. 315's in BC are 100+ $ more than the 285's I have..when i decide to go bigger....i won't waste my time with 315's...gonna go mini-tubbing.

There is a ot of work involved in getting 315 to fit without rubbing. Some people are lucky and dont have an issue or dont drive the car hard enough to make it rub. I run 315's. They look mean as hell on there and I get complimented on them all the time.
Traction is better with them.

You can go to tire rack and they have all the width measurements for each tire listed there. The sectional width is what you will want to look at. It also tells you how the width of your wheels versus the measure rim width will affect the actual sectional width once installed...

For example... I was deciding on whether to get 315/30/18 michelin tires or 295/35/18 BF KDW2's....for my 18x11 in wheels.

the sectional width on the michelin 315s on 18x11 is 12.6 inches.

the sectional width on the KDW2 295s on 18x11 is 12.1 inches.
(11.9 on 10.5" wheel and ~12.1 or 12.2 on an 11" wide wheel)

So to me it wasn't worth the extra dough for the michelin 315s and I just got the KDW2's and sacrificed ~.4-.5 inches of width to save 188 bucks per tire

Here's a comparison shot of 275s and 315s. Shouldn't be too difficult to tell the difference which is which

I haven't driven mine in over a week....front tires are totally shot, and I am waiting for the new ones (BFG KD) to show up on tuesday.

Other than that...it's running pretty strong...no complaints really. And the UMI double adjustable rod ended phb worked great to keep the tire slicing in check!
