Default 2,500 dollars to burn!!!

I have 2,500 bucks to burn and I want to get rims and tires as soon as possible. I'm planning on going with the TT2's. I know everyone seems to have em but I don't care cuz they are a nice wheel. I have done a search on here but I didn't find what I wanted. What I need to know is what size rims to go with. I want to have the widest rims and tires in the rear but I don't know how wide I can go on my Z without having to bang the crap out my car with a damn hammer. And I have no idea what size tire to go with when I pick the rim size. Pretty much I'm absolutley stupid when it comes to rim and tire sizes so please help me pick the right stuff. Thanks.

If you go with the 17x11s in the rear, you can go with a 315/35 tire and that should allow you to go w/o banging or rolling. If you go all around size (like 17x9s on all 4 corners) you can go with something like a 275 and be fine.

Thanks alot. I'll probably go with 17x9.5 rims with 275/40/17's tires for the front and then in the rear...17x11 with 315/35/17's tires. Now, another question, what offset and backspace do I need in the rims for the 17x11's? Thanks.

Cool. I know of a guy that has the same car as me and he just put 17x11's in the rear with 315/35/17 tires but I haven't been able to get ahold of him yet to see if he ran into any rubbing issues. Also, back to the offset and backspacing...do you know what it needs to be?

Thanks blk97z28. I'm thinkin bout gettin the polished ones. On the Summit link the second to the last one on that first page is 17x11 with the right bolt pattern but with a 7.75 in. Backspace. Will that work. Plus for the front ones, on wheelsforless.com, the 17x9.5's are 25 bucks cheaper. But they don't have 17x11's. I'll get the 17x9.5's from wheelsforless.com and get the 17x11's from summit if that 7.75 in. backspace will work.

Thanks. Does anyone happen to know what the backspace/offset has to be in order to fit right (referring to the 17x11's) for the 1997 camaro z28.

I believe you need 17x11 with 45mm offset on the TT's for the rear.

The ones on summit say they are +44mm offset so those should work. Thanks alot everyone for your help and input. I'll be ordering them tomorrow and post pics up when i get em on. I know everyone has seen TT2's on a 4th Gen several times but I feel inclined to share since you helped me out in pickin them.

The rears are a +44 and the fronts are +46 and should work fine. I do not think anyone will beat our price of 809 for the set with caps and chrome lugs plus shipping.
Thanks
