Default are their any tires wider than 245 that fit our stock 16" rims?

i have c5 rims 17 front and 18's back but they are to heavy to really be used if i want decent looking rims + performance.

so im trying to find wider tires than the stock 245's that are on my stock 16" rims. but i cant seem to find anything on tirerack. does no company make like 285/whatever/16? will i be forced to use these bulky heavier c5 rims if i want to put meatier tires on?. or ofcourse just get new 17" rims all the way around that are atleast better looking and lighter.

note: the c5 rims were a gift got them for free lol.

You can fit a 255 on stock rims, but you shouldnt put anything wider on them. Just search for a 255/50/16, theres stuff on tirerack.

The problem isnt that they dont make a wider tire in a 16 inch, its that a wider tire wont fit on a stock wheel without it being dangerous

Does anyone have any pics, and will the negligible difference in height have any long term effect on the ABS? I'm planning on ordering these soon.

If you are talking about 255/50 16s at all four corners, there will NOT be ANY problem with the ABS system. Some even say that with 245/50 16s on the front, and 255/50 16s on the back, the difference in height will not bother the ABS.

That's what I'm going with. The stock tire height is approx. 25.7" and the 255 BFG's are 26". Thanks.

When I had snowflakes, I was running 245 GSD3's and those suckers ran pretty wide. I'd be willing to bet they are wider than other 255 or 265 tires.
