Eagle F1 GS
You can get better performing tires for about the same. While I don't recommend them for the track - my Firestone Wide Ovals were $600 for the set, Nittos can be had for about the same (I'm probably going this route for my next set), and a number of others are also available in the $140-160/tire range.

When they wore out I put the D3's on. The side wall is much softer then the GS. The car starts to turn, then the side walls flex. Then the tires grip. Took some getting used too. Also the ABS really comes on a lot more.
The D3 have 10/32 tread when new. I am down to 9/32 with 2000 miles on them. They are better, but I wont be putting these back on the car when their worn.
I really liked the GS.
