Default zo6 rims

I am replacing my ZR1s with chrome ZO6 rims but I don't know if I want 17/18 combo or just 17s. What are the tire sizes you all are running with the 18s? I miss my 315-35zr-17s on my 17x11 ZR1s. Would my SS look crappy with 17/18 combo and not lowering the car?

ken, i have a set of OEM ZO6 wheels and i plan on running a prokit, what size tires are you running? What did you have to do to get it all to fit? do you have any pics? thanks, i just wanna make sure everything tis going to fit. i am planning on having to change wheels studs in order to run spacers with the different offset vette wheels, and pound the inner fender well. and am planning on running 275/40/17 in the front, and 285/35/18's in the rear. Any advive would be great, thanks again!!

I think I will get the 17 inch chrome ZO6 rims on EBAY from OE wheels. I really like the chrome ZR1s I had with 315s out back on my 17x11s, but I don't want to put 315s on 17x9.5 rims because the tires will not fit properly. I will need drag radials too. I guess I will need to get 275s all the way around. I guess I will need 17x9.5s (four) with plain centercaps and get the SS emblems from MARK. I will also get the chrome lug caps from SLP. I am just worries that the 275 nittos won't give me enough traction on the street. I used to have 315-35zr-17 BFG Comp TA Zrs(not drag radials) and 1st gear was useless. When I shifted to second(eith powershift or speedshift) I would leave about 10-15ft of rubber. 3rd gear would spin a little and get a solid bark into 4th. Right now I am running my 26x10.5x16 ET STREETS on my 1998 Z28 16 inch rims on the street. Without heating them up, at 20-25psi, I can easily lay rubber just flooring it in 1st. I don't think 275 nittos will hold. I can't afford the Fikse FM5s I want right now, so the ZO6 rims will have to do.

IMHO go with the 18" x 9.5" w/ 275/35YR18 front and 18" x 10.5" w/ 295/35YR18 rear!

My first post here, but I am a long time lurker. Some of you may already know me...

ken, i have a set of OEM ZO6 wheels and i plan on running a prokit, what size tires are you running? What did you have to do to get it all to fit?
I am in the EXACT same situation. I have 17"/front and 18"/rear OEM Z06 wheels and F1 Supercar tires coupled with DMS springs. With this combination, the wheels/tires do not fit. The tire is pretty much pressed against the inner fenderwell. I threw on a cheapie 1/8" spacer that I had laying around and that made it barely fit, but way too close for comfort.

I don't like the idea of running ANY spacer, and I also don't like the fact that I may have to hammer clearance a car with less than 2k miles on it. The spot I will have to clearance is the 9:30-10:00 position when looking at the driver's side.

I am sure in order to make these fit I will have to do the clearancing or spacers or possibly even both.

What should I do? What have you other guys with this combination done?

I have searched around trying to find the BEST answer and can't seem to locate it. I left a message with Todd@DTD, but he seems to be out.

Any advice is very much appreciated!

to help with mine, i got 285/35/18's for the rear. im still waitin on parts to come in the mail untill i can try to get everything to fit. i think that i may have to run spacers and change wheel studs. Ken said that he is running a 1/8 inch spacer(i believe)and hammered the inner fender. I dont know what size tire he is running though, im waiting for him to send me some pics and tire size that he is running!! be patient, you'll figure it out (as will I)

Well, I just did some digging and found out that on the GMMG 2002 ZL1, they used a 3/4 inch spacer with better/longer studs.

I might just do this.

Where did you get the info on the GMMG ZL1? Do you know if there was any info on the BlackBird T/A's that they did for Carl Black Pontiac? I am trying to figure out there config for the lowering and Torq Thrust II's they used on those.
