Default New Rims!

So I traded rims with a local, he had a set of 17"x10.5 momo R3's. I had a set of y2k's in silver.... we finally made the swap today after all the issues we were having. He had to have the inside of the rear wheels milled, kuz they would fit over the rotor hub thinger. So then we get them bolted up and realize the back is not lowering, right, well he has to go so Im on my own.... I quickly realized that they were stuck on the bumper stops.... so I take the rims off numerous times getting just enough cut off....

so im done with that bolt them up go for a drive to get air in the tires....

Grinding noise... yeah :help: .... you betcha, fronts are grinding, there is a small nub on the front spindles that are grinding, So i go at it with a mini saw and some sand paper.... got it good enough so that it doesnt grind....

so here are some pics while parked, the tires are low on air, some look almost flat.

I think the Y2K's make have looked better. Perhaps if you had proper sized tires on it would be better.

ya... 275/50 17's are not wide and high enough for a 10.5" rim....

Oh man, your old rims looked much better! Sorry to have to say it. You for sure need wider tires though. The front look like they are about to blow off at any second. Get some meatier tires on that bitch and let's see how it looks then!

I think if you lowered it it would look sweet and the wheels give it an exotic 80's Ferrari look.

Looks like your driver side rear is on backwards...

In my opinion, you got the short and dirty end of the stick....

As stated above, those remind me of a 80s Ferrari Testarossa wheel....which...well, I don't like them.

Get all your clearances worked out, and buy a set of proper sized tires that are not made by "General", "Dayton", "Kumho", "Continental", and "Sumitomo" and you'll be ok.

I vote gunmetal or anthracite centers.

I've had both Kumho and Continentals before and have had great luck with both.

YUCK!

Jk (not really)

Don't paint, just lower it and hope for the best.

Why does your car sit lower on the passenger side?
