18" ZR1...Vote Black or Chrome for my car. I'm deciding on the wheels I'm going to purchase. I have it narrowed down to 18x9.5 ZR1s from Ebay. I simply(yeah right) have to decide between the black painted finish and the chrome finish. Here are some pics of my car with the silver stockers and of the 17x9 ROH Firehawks I had for a bit that were painted gunmetal. The car will have dark tint in the near future.
The chrome would be an awesome contrast to the rest of the car. I have black accents all over, and I think the chrome wheels would be the perfect touch to add class since they would be the only bright and shiny thing on the car.
The black wheels would continue with the blackout theme, and they would give the car a sinister look. They're also $180 cheaper(doesn't matter much) and easier to keep clean and in good shape. I can also refinish them easier if something happens.
I'm actually leaning towards the chrome for aesthetics and the black for easier care.
The top pics with stock wheels are the most recent. Since then, duals were added so there are no tips.

I've yet to see any in a polished finish in 18". I also considered the polished 18" C5 Z06, but I like the fact that there aren't many cars with 18" ZR1s.

Nobody thinks the black would go with the rest of the black accents? I'm leaning towards chrome too, but I'm just trying to play devil's advocate.

As far as the newer ones, the only ones I like are the real thin 5 spokes. I still haven't seen many for sale however.
