Default 19's on a 2005 GTO Rubbin?

I just put a set of 19's on my gto and they are rubbin. They seem to only rub when i get on it hard or turn the corners hard. The tire sizes are a 245/35/19 in the front and a 275/30/19 in the rear. I tried rolling the fender lip up a little. Didnt really seem to help a whole lot. Any ideas?

you need to roll the lips nearly flat, and then install a set of BMR drag bags to keep the *** from sagging too far. That is what I had to do on my 19s with the same size tire.

No more of less than any other car really. You should have checked offsets. Do you know those specs or any others and what width are your wheels? You should be between 50-55mm offset in the rear with that width of tire. Also, every car differs and you may need a rear cradle alignment if yours is too far off.

Easy fix is King HD 0" drop or Pedders 5/16" raise rear drag springs and/or BMR drag bags. All those are sub $200 fixes and if you can afford 19"s and tires you can afford one of those fixes. After that you may or may not have to roll or cut your fender lips.

Even then if your rear cradle is off you still may have to have it aligned.

275's are hard to fit in back of a GTO.

Mine weren't. Barely any rub at all stock and I didn't get real rub until I lowered it. With stiffer stock height springs my 275s fit and didn't even rub with a car full of people on anything the road threw at me. I'm not sure on the exact offset of the CCWs but I'm running a 10" wheel in the rear with a 275 tire. I seriously think I could have fit 285s back there with the King 0" drop springs. Its one of those things that really is vehicle-to-vehicle dependant and all in if you got lucky and got a car with a dead on rear cradle or not.
