Default NEED HELP?28x12.5x15 ET Streets

Looks good but it rubs the rear quarter panel. My rear is narrowed 3' on each side. I do not wanna go 26' diameter because they only can go 11.5 not wide enough tread.

ya the part that stick straight in about an inch, I think its lakewood that makes a tool that you bolt fast to the axle and roll it around

Do you have any pics of your car where I can see your setup good. If it is any trouble don't worry about it I will look into that tool. I wish i never got this narrowed rear they told me it was narrowed 3' so I was thinking cool 1.5' on each side . Nope 3' on each side. This has been nothing but a headache getting that rear in (brakes and getting tires too fit) i appreciate all help I can get.

what for wheels do you have? why do you need a big tire? if you get a 15x10 with a 4 inch back space it would be the same as mine, I have 15x10s with 5 inch back space.

they do, stock back space for a 10 inch wheel is 7.5 so you take 3 off really you want a 4.5 back space just centerline is in even numbers, heres a prostar in 4.5 back space

like he said, the M/T 26x11.5-15 tires only have a 9.8 tread with, however Hoosier makes their DOT tire in a 26x11.5-15 size, with a true 10" tread width.

I was thinking about buyin adj. torque arms and pullin rear forward.. Is that a good idea. If I could pull the rear forward 1/2 to 1 inch they would look perfect. Good Idea anyone? Thnaks

if you buy adj. lca's you might as well buy the off-set ones so you wont have to worry about a wide tire rubbing your control arm. with that being said if your rear is narrowed 3" and you want a 10" rim, get a 4.5" or 5" backspace. i would shoot for a 5" backspace if it is available with whatever rims you decide to go with. that way they wont stick out at all. if they tuck in further there will be no need to roll the lip. tuck them in as far as you can without hitting the lca's.

he needs 4-4.5 to keep the wheel where it was, with 5 hes going to be getting close to the tire rubbing the inner fender with as wide of a tire as he wants mines narrowed 2 inches each side and I have 15x10s 5 inch back spacing with 26 11.5s theres about 2 inches of room behind there with his being narrowed 3 inches that makes it and inch space and he wants 10.5 tread tire that another inch in width that would make the tire rub the inner fender. your going to hit the inner fender before you hit the lower control arms.

with only a 4" backspace, the rim wil stick out too much. a 4.5" backspace will put the tire in the correct location. i told him in a pm that he would have to "massage" the inner wheel well behind the tire directly above the lca. there are plenty of people on here with 1/2" to 1" of extra backspacing to tuck the tire in more. i beat the crap out of my inner fenders and my tire would rub the lca first. it takes a little more work like cutting the bump stops and more hammering but it works. and looks sweet too. if you post this in the drag racing section you will get much more feedback. oh and i forgot to mention, an adj. panhard bar helps center the tires from side to side because stock doesnt always have them even.

I got the adj ph bar the car is lowered. I got the 15x10 prostars on there with 4.5 ' bs and they do fit good just have to use a half inch spacer. they do not rub the inner fender well with my 28x12.5x15 ET's luckily but they do rub the rear quarter panel.. I think I am going to buy adj lower control arms so I can move the rear up towards the front of the car .. I really do not wanna roll the rear fender lip but I just might have too. Thanks 4 the help. Are LCA's cheap?

if you take the tire off and beat the inner fender above the control arm, where it is probably rubbing you could take that spacer out of there. then probably not have to roll the lip.

Default Got her done Thanks

Alright you guys are gonna laugh about what we did to make it work. Just thought you might be curious... First we loosened the panhard bar a lil bit then I spent about an hour grinding the SHIAT out of the brake caliper. Of course we beat the **** out of the inner fender well BFH mod. Grinding the brake caliper down made us not have to use the spacer. Which pushed the wheel in Quarter inch. Well My paps (aka old school) (aka Professional rigger) got called in he said watch we will drill a small hole in bottom of fender lip get some thick safety wire tighten it to another bolt into the frame of the inside of the car and it will pull the lip back so it don't rub and we don't have to cut it.. Well shiat worked and it looks good don't even notice it unless you get under car and look at the bolt holding in the safety wire in. We drove it on bumpyass road and took it on the highway No rubbing yet.. Thanks for the help fellas.!
