13 inch rim...what size tires? What mods to make it fit?
as soon as my car gets here, which will be about three weeks, i plan on getting some chrome ruff 281's. But the max size you can get is 10.5 rear. Well thats kind of ***** if you ask me. So i want to have them sent out to be widened. It will cost me 250 a wheel for a 2.5 inch stretch. So id be rolling on some 19x13's with a 4.5 inch lip. OMG i think id orgasm. Lol. So what sized tire would be required? Would i need a spacer seeing how they get widened in the back of the spokes expanding the width towards the center of the car and closer to the suspension? I will definitely Roll the fenders and maybe have the edges flared about an inch and i will have an adjustable pan hard bar installed and of course id do the BFH mod, as soon as i figure out where its required. So what size tire? Initially i was thinking 335 but now i see that people are running that on their 11 inch ZR1's. So would i need something bigger or would 335's fit ok?

yup.. You need to look at this thread...

serously 11" just barley fits the wells as it is. 13" just won't fit because there isn't enough room in the well unless you jacked the car way up and let the wheels stick out of the wells.. lol. So it will just take a little fender flaring, mini-tubs, narrowed rearend .. after that they will fit like a glove.

You aint fittin a 19x13 with any amount of BFH mod. mini tubs are in your future my friend. And you could probably fit a 335. might be a little stretched. 345 would be good. Hope you get everything to work. should look sick.

Lol... I'm sure it would look sick, but it ain't happening. Let's do the math for a minute, 4 wheels at an average of say $300 a piece, stretch the back 2 for another $500, add tires ($400 fronts, $800 rear), minitub w/shortened rear end and 1" flared fenders $1000.... hmm.... $3900 huh? Still sound like a good idea to you?

Well they might fit based on what car you have. Based on your screen name and saying your car is arriving in 3 weeks, maybe you have a Z06 in which they will probably fit. If you have an f-body, no way without a mini-tub, and probably not a C5, couldnt probably do 19x12 on a c5, which is all thats really needed for a 335.

OH im sorry guys. Yes i have a ZO6. No im not talking about it here.i bought a 96 WS6. I talked to my uncle who builds drag cars and he said id have to narrow the rear end. Looks like the max im going to go is 12. A 19x12 with a 4.5 inch lip is still pretty good though if you ask me. Im going to roll and flare the fenders just alittle lip, and my uncle is going to cut away some material into the cab ans weld on some new caps. Im getting 335/30/19's out back and 275/35/18's up front. Im also keeping my two oem ZO6 wheels to match the front tire size so all four match for when i autocross or take it to the racetrack. IN a few months ill buy another two ruff that match so no matter if i want staggard or all matched all the rims will match. Make sense? LOL. I wouldnt mind dumpiong that money into it cause it sounds like no ones ever done it before BUT if rather get an LT4 conversion and i think youd all support my decision there. Right? So that the lans for now, some 19s and an LT4. Does anyone make a good TT kit for the LT4? Whats the stock compression? Id beter start reading uo on my LTX stuff.
