Default Lightweight Race Rims?

I'm looking for some lightweight race rims to keep the unsprung weight down for my autocross WS6. I'm looking at 17x9.5's (The stock size, I think) and 17x11's. I'd like to say that I already know the 9.5's are lighter than the 11's. I don't care about style very much at all. I just want something very light and strong (yes, I know that strong is usually heavy). I'm not looking for $500 rims, but I'll pay good money for what I really like.

Can anyone suggest some lightweight, strong, quality rims and where to get them?

light weight, strong and cheap don't go well together. Specially if your lookign for a 17x11. your best bet is a set of CCW classics. your still looking at 2200 for the set not including wheels.

fikse has some nice lightweight stuff, but its pricey, i dont think youre gonna do less than 5-600 for a good lightweight wheel

If you were to run 17x9.5 all around you coud try the oem C5 Z06 wheels, they're pretty light and can be had for cheap if you buy them used at the vette forums (I got mine at corvetteforum, $700 for the set but the rears are 18x10.5 and one of them had some curb rash).

If you are already going 17x11 in the rear you are out of ANY of the stock classes anyway, so you might as well go 17x11 in the front as well, with 315/30 17 R compound rubber all around (just like ALL of the winning E Street Prepared cars do!!).

Our Bogart RR wheels are very light. Depending on how we build them, a 9.5" wheel will be ~16lbs, an 11" wheel will be ~17lbs. Ballpark pricing is ~2k-2.5K

I'm looking at no more than $350 per rim. I'm just gonna do a pair for now. The SSRs are interesting, but I see like 12 different SSR rims out there.
